- To modify them you must make sure the bottle is completely empty and use a paper clip to make sure by poking the brass valve.
- Gently take a pair of Needle Nose Pliers and grab the brass piece below the gasket.
- Pull straight out until the valve pops out.
- Use a drywall screw and screw it into the top of the bottle. Then take pliers and pull on the screw until the check valve pops out. The check valve looks like a little cylinder and might have some blue on it.
- Insert brass valve back into Butane Cartridge. (Butane Adaptor is now ready for use!)
- Finally, place the adapter on the butane bottle
- Fill with Universal Gas Butane Lighter Fluid by inserting the tip on the other side of the adaptor.
- Press firmly to make seal and refill the cartridge.
